Hi, I'm Julie
Highland Getaway is my pride and joy, with 67acres of prime pasture on which I’ve built my dream home with magnificent views from every window. This is where I discovered my passion for my gentle natured Scottish Highland Cattle and farming. I've been learning on the run ever since.

To share my love of the Huon Valley and my Highland’s, I’ve adapted my dream home into a B&B to accommodate couples in two self-contained private suites and I’ve converted the original smaller house into a Farm Stay for families or groups traveling together.

​Farm tours are a unique experience for guests to walk amongst, brush and photograph my Highland cattle and their calves and alpacas. Some people say its a therapeutic experience being able to get up so close to these gorgeous majestic creatures.
